OUTREACH SUPPORT
As an outstanding academy for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Difficulties (SEND) we are able to offer free specialist outreach support to our mainstream colleagues in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Primary and Secondary settings, through the Coaching for Inclusion Partnership. Our support promotes a fully inclusive approach to teaching and learning in order to improve the outcomes for pupils with SEND.
OBJECTIVES:
- To promote positive attitudes to inclusion
- To celebrate and share good practice
- To work collaboratively to develop teacher confidence
AREAS OF SUPPORT:
Our dedicated specialist team are able to offer outreach support to mainstream schools and academies in the following areas:
- Differentiation and adaptive teaching
- Assessment
- Early communication skills
- SEND classroom strategies
- Behaviour management
- Total Communication
- Autism
- Sensory processing
TRAINING
We are also able to offer bespoke whole school training packages to schools and academies. Our highly qualified and experienced staff can offer training in a wide range of topics including the following:
- Autism Awareness
- Sensory Integration
- Positive Behaviour Management
- Effective Deployment of Teaching Assistants
- SEND Strategies in the Classroom
